Great Job For A Nosey Parker

One of the favourite parts of my work is sorting through all the ephemera & photographs that we get in the house clearances. Obviously some people die & have no family but it does always upset me when family members don’t want personal effects such as photographs & letters (& don’t even get me started on war medals!!)

I have always had a great love of photography & now I get to sit & look at hundreds of other people’s vintage pictures. Of course there are plenty of the run-of-the-mill family snaps, that really would not be of interest to anybody apart from the people in them. But for every batch of uninspiring photo’s they will be some real winners.

From fun & quirky to the¬†downright bizarre, here’s a few of my personal favourites:

It’s a shame to think that this may well become a thing of the past, yes, we all take loads of photo’s now¬†with our digital cameras & smartphones but how many of us actually print them off rather than just look at them on a small screen??
